Missing Link

Somone brought it to my attention that the Cult Awareness List is a pretty questionable list. After some review, I decided to remove the link to it. If someone has other information, please post it here on the blog. I think that "Twisted Scriptures" describes LFF and other churches like LFF well enough.

This is a good move. The old C.A.N. was less than reputable and being on their list does not prove or disprove "cult" status. Thumbs up on moving it off the blog

Hey. Just wanted to say Merry Christmas to everyone and thanks for listening this year. It's been good. I hope everyine heals. I hope the Vances realize what they are doing and things really change in the new year. I know some of you are people that I will always love because we had fun together so have a great new year.

I see the LFF website has a new look and it's now a "Church For Today"

I'm pretty sure the website work for both ccf and lff is the work of Adam Ratliff

Here's an interesting article on Pentacostal churches losing their youth:

That's an interesting article. It does a good job of showing how the church loses its youth. As long as we continue to confuse man made laws with salvation we will only make burdens that no one can lift.
Remember truth is supposed to set you free, not enslave you! (read Galatians again sometime)

That's an unnecessary comment...better kept to yourself

I agree. He's been a pillar of the LFF one way track to the top.

Anonymous said...

What does that mean?

Anonymous said...

it means he's been the Maier's and Vance's "little do anything for them" boy for years.

On the outside he's all spiritual and nice, but really get to know him and he's a jerk. He'll do anything to please the leaders

Anonymous said...

Come on you guys. I was always trying to please the leaders too. I bet most of you did at one time or another too. I think they really think they are doing good things.

Anonymous said...

Ouch.
Do you even know him?

Anonymous said...

Actually I did know him. I also know he wasn't perfect. But come on if you were still there you would be doing the same stuff.

doing the same stuff and inwardly despising myself the whole time

Adam and I were close, might even say we "invested" in each other for a while.

He's not a bad guy. He is submerged in the lifestyle that all of us once were.

I'm thankful for the experiences we had (don't get any ideas that's not what I mean). Both of us learned a lot about ourselves from that relationship and ended up growing apart from each other but into the arms of our spouses.

Give the guy a break. For all any of them know they are actively seeking God, we may not agree with the doctrine or leaders from the top but we were all there once. There's no reason for personal attacks on those who are the product of the system rather than the creators of it.

Please keep personal attacks to yourself. We will delete comments with profanity and name calling.
Thanks, DPR!!!

Im no fan of LFF, but i also find it funny that there is a large blog dedicated to Ripping on the church, but they do so "Out of Love". Its just ironic. You all talk of forgiveness, and letting go, but this blog is contradictory in itself. I think both the church and those who left and started this blog are in the same boat. -Confused and "in the wrong". Either way best of luck to getting free from bitterness whether you admit to it or not.

To Mr. Authorita, I think you've missed the entire point of this blog and if you were never "in" there you would never get it. That, or you are just too "RAD" to understand. Once again, those who think they are so above us have egos that know no bounds...You might have been a prime candidate for leadership there. (if you don't get it, check out his blog)
